AT-HOME BODYWORK
Welcome!
Let’s do what we can at home to help our babies overcome body tension & oral dysfunction!
I have seen daily bodywork movements transform both of my babies. It has helped to release body tension, build strength, reach milestones, integrate reflexes, support better sleep, as well as promote bonding and brain development. Releasing tension has helped my babies with feeding and mobility (both of the mouth and body). Babies with ties (released or not), body tension, and torticollis can benefit so much from these exercises!
A rhythm that worked well for us was to do several different movements daily. There wasn’t a set amount of time, or a certain order. I chose what felt right for my baby and focused on movements that they liked best. I continued to offer and retry movements that were more difficult or they didn’t seem to like as much. I would keep the mood light and fun - always listening to their cues when they were ready to stop.
